The injections themselves feel like a slight pinch, and you may experience slight pressure or a \u2018stinging\u2019 sensation as the product is being injected.<\/p>\r\n<p>Although the needle used is very small, slight bruising and bleeding can occur at the site of the injections. You can choose to have your lips numbed with a topical numbing cream and this is recommended for your first time.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>How long will my appointment take?<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p>The treatment itself should only take between 15-30 minutes. It may be longer if you have having other areas such as cheeks treated at the same time.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fdermamedspa%2Fposts%2F1476347175814579&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"595\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\"><\/iframe>\r\n<p><script async=\"\" defer=\"\" src=\"\/\/platform.instagram.com\/en_US\/embeds.js\"><\/script><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>When can I expect to see results?<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p>You will see the results of your treatment almost immediately, however, it is very important to understand that your lips will be swollen. \u201cThe degree of swelling is variable from person to person.&nbsp; You can\u2019t predict how much swelling you will get until you have had them injected,\u201d says Dr Rajiya.&nbsp;\u201cIt is recommended not to have lip filler done if you have an important event on in the first few days after treatment.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>To reduce swelling post treatment, it is recommended to:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Ice your lips intermittently that evening<\/li>\r\n<li>Sleep with your head slightly elevated<\/li>\r\n<li>Avoid exercise for 24 hrs<\/li>\r\n<li>Avoid a hot shower that evening<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>During the healing process, it is normal to expect some minor bruising and sometimes slight unevenness. Don\u2019t stress, once the swelling has gone down, you\u2019ll start to see the final result of your treatment.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>What happens if I don\u2019t like them?<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p>It is possible to erase the dermal filler using an enzyme to dissolve the product, although it is extremely rare for us to need to do so!<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>What will my lips feel like afterwards?<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p>\u201cFor the first 48hrs, it is normal for them to feel very firm.&nbsp; This is due to a combination of the filler and swelling.&nbsp; They will gradually soften over the next two weeks,\u201d advises Dr Rajiya.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cSometimes they feel completely natural and clients question whether there is any product left. After the initial treatment, follow-up sessions are normally recommended around every 6 to 12 months depending on the individual and the product used.
